regulations for admission

 

PART-I

 

  1. ADMISSION to First Year B.Sc Engineering Course

 

1.1       GENERAL

 

Admission to First Year B.Sc Engineering shall be made strictly on merit and will be equally open to both sexes. The University however reserves its right to devise quotas and preferences when circumstances require such action.

 

1.2       ELIGIBILITY

 

  1. Admission in B.Sc Engineering shall be open to the candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC / HSSC) Pre-Engineering Examination from a recognized Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.

 

  1. A candidate having passed any other examination of a Foreign University / Institution / Examination Body, with both standard as well as scope wise equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Pre-Engineering). The Candidate will have to produce equivalence and conversion of marks certificate issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Education, Islamabad, with the application form.

 

  1. A candidate who has passed Diploma of Associate Engineer Examination, securing at least 60% aggregate marks, shall be eligible for admission in the same discipline of Engineering in which he or she has passed the Diploma examination only against the specified reserved seats.

 

  1. The eligibility so prescribed hereinbefore shall always remain subservient to the requirements so laid by the Pakistan Engineering Council on the subject.

 

  1. Apart from the aforementioned criteria, the desiring candidate may also be subjected to any pre-admission test, taken directly or through any third party testing service.

 

  1. The University reserves the right to refuse admission, even in case a student fulfils all the requirements / eligibility, without disclosing any reason.

 

 

1.3       ENTRY TEST

 

All the eligible candidates applying for admission to First Year B.Sc. Engineering will have to appear in the Entry Test conducted by Education Testing & Evaluation Authority (ETEA), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The candidates applying from other provinces (other than KPK) will have to qualify the Centralized Entry Test conducted admission in Engineering Universities / Colleges or NTS test, whichever is applicable. The merit of the candidates will be determined according to the following weightage:

 

  1. a) 10% weightage to S.S.C. Examination (Matric) % marks x  1
  2. b) 40% weightage to Intermediate (Pre-Engg) or % marks x  4

equivalent examination (unadjusted marks)

  1. c) 50% weightage to entry test.             % marks x  5

 

 

  1. ADMISSION to First Year B. ARCHITECTURE Course (5 Years Non Engineering Course)

 

2.1       ELIGIBILITY

 

  1. The minimum level to enter the Architecture program is Intermediate, A Levels or equivalent with minimum 45% marks.

 

  1. Admission test is a must requirement and it is specially designed to assess the aptitude of the student in the Architecture. All the candidates must pass this admission test in order to get admission in this program.

 

  1. The eligibility shall remain subject to any rules / regulations, so prescribed by PCATP.

 

  1. ADMISSION PROCEDURE

 

3.1       The College can admit those candidates who qualify the CECOS Entry Test or the prescribed test conducted by any recognized Testing body of four provinces. However, the candidate will have to fulfill the eligibility requirement for admission in the relevant Discipline.

 

3.2       All the eligibility criterions shall always remain subject to the relevant accrediting / registering body.

 

3.3       Cases of doubtful or undefined equivalence of any academic qualification, may be considered by the University Equivalence Committee. If deemed necessary, the Committee may also consult other organizations/ authorities of Pakistan that deal with the subject and determine equivalence of foreign Degrees and Certificates.

 

3.3.1    The University Equivalence Committee, may in its discretion refer cases to HEC for determination / weightage of any academic qualification.

 

3.4       Candidates selected for admission shall produce the following documents in original for verification at the time of interview / admission and shall also submit two sets of attested photocopies of these documents with the application form:

 

  1. Detailed Marks Certificate of Intermediate or the examination on the basis of which admission is sought. In case the examination consists of Part-I and Part-II, detailed marks certificates of each Part shall be submitted.

 

  1. An equivalence certificate from the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen, Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Education, Islamabad, in case of candidates having certificate from an institution outside Pakistan. This however does not guarantee equivalence for admission unless confirmed by the University Equivalence Committee.

 

  1. DMC and certificate of Secondary School Certificate or equivalent examination.

 

  1. Character certificate from the Head of Institution most recently attended by the applicant in Pakistan.

 

  1. CNIC or Form “B” of the applicant and CNIC of his/her father.

 

  1. Six recent passport size photographs of applicant.

 

 

  1. Undertaking on a Non-Judicial Stamp Paper worth Rs. 30/- (Rupees Thirty Only), for non indulgence in any unlawful activity, duly attested by the Oath Commissioner as per prescribed proforma.

 

  1. h) Original Migration Certificate from the concerned BISE/BTE/University, if applicable.

 

  1. i) Permission and Leave Certificate from the employer in case the applicant is an employee.

 

  1. All applications shall be delivered in the office of the Principal/ Admission Officer on or before the last date given in the advertisement.

 

  1. Every application should be accompanied by a declaration signed by the applicant and countersigned by his/her father or guardian (as the case may be) to the effect that he/she would abide by the rules and regulations of the university and obey instructions issued to him/her from time to time by the Teacher, Chairman of the Department/ Principal.

 

  1. If applicable, Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate Examination passed in first division at the Principal level or the British General Certificate of Education passed in first Division at the advanced level in English, Physics, Chemistry (Computer Science in certain cases) and Mathematics (London, Oxford, Cambridge), for the purpose of determining merit, the grades obtained in these examinations will be equated as under:-

 

Grade A     85%                 Grade B 75%

Grade C     65%                 Grade D 55%

Grade E     45%

 

However, the Pakistani candidates are required to qualify the subjects of Islamiat, Pakistan Studies and Urdu at HSSC Level.

 

  1. After declaration of results of Entry Test, Admission Committee shall consider all valid applications received for admission to first year B.Sc. Engineering. The Admission Committee will process the applications according to the criteria of admission and availability of seats.

 

  1. Candidates provisionally selected by the Admission Committee may be called for interview / admission on a specified date. Provisionally selected candidates shall be required to deposit the College and University dues and complete the admission formalities including the filling of the prescribed class enrolment form by a specified date failing which his / her right for admission shall be forfeited and the seat(s) so vacated shall be filled in from the candidate(s) on waiting list.

 

  1. The Admission Committee will recommend the names of the provisionally selected candidates to the Vice Chancellor for approval. The admission will be provisional and shall not mean any commitment or entail any legal liability till all the original certificates have been checked for their correctness by the quarters concerned and the admission is otherwise confirmed by the Vice Chancellor in writing.

 

  1. If any seat remains vacant in a discipline after the specified date, it will be filled up within thirty days of the commencement of classes by adjustment in the merit list strictly according to the choice(s) given in the admission form.

 

  1. If a seat becomes available due to cancellation of admission after commencement of classes, it may be filled up by adjustment from among the students already admitted in the College; provided that no such adjustment may be allowed after thirty days of the commencement of the classes.

 

  1. Within thirty days of the last date of admission, particulars of candidates such as Name, Parentage (as per SSC), Domicile, Date of birth, Examination passed and the course to which the candidate has been admitted shall be reported to the Vice Chancellor on the prescribed form along with the recommendations of the Admission Committee for approval. After the approval of the Vice Chancellor and payment of all the prescribed dues, the name of the candidate shall be entered in the Students Register and registration card issued to him/her in token thereof by the University.

 

  1. Documents once submitted with application form cannot be changed and shall be considered as final. All the documents shall be verified from the concerned Boards/ Institutions, if desired by the CECOS University.

 

  1. v) Successful applicants shall be informed through Merit / Selection list displayed on the College Notice Board and the website of the University.

 

  1. w) University Authorities reserve the right to make amendments in Admission Regulations at any stage. As a result of inadvertent mistake on the part of admission office shall not confer any right of admission on the candidate.

 

  1. x) University reserves right to cancel any admission without assigning any reason at any stage.

 

  1. y) The University may also cancel admission so granted to a student in case his documents / particulars are found fake / false or due to change in eligibility criteria retrospective or prospectively. In such an eventuality, the student shall have no vested right due to his time, efforts consumed.


 

PART-II

 

  1. ADMISSION TO MANAGEMENT SCIENCES, COMPUTER & INFORMATION SCIENCES AND COMMERCE ETC.

 

4.1       GENERAL

 

Admission to all the Courses offered by the Institute of Management and Information Sciences and CECOS College of Business Education, CECOS University, shall be made strictly on merit and will be equally open to both the sexes. The University, however, reserves the right to setup special quota and to give preference in admission to certain classes of students, if circumstances so require.

 

4.2       ELIGIBILITY

 

Eligibility Criteria for admission to various Courses, offered by the Institute of Management and Information Sciences and CECOS College of Business Education are given below:-

 

  1. BCS / BIT / BS(CS)/BS(IT) (Hons) – 4years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Intermediate or equivalent qualification with at least 45 % marks.
  2. Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

 

  1. BBA (Hons) 4 years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Intermediate or equivalent qualification with at least 45 % marks.
  2. Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

  1. Com – 2 years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Intermediate or equivalent qualification with at least 45 % marks.
  2. Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

  1. MS(CS) – 2 years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Having passed BCS / BIT or BS(CS) / BS(IT) Examination under 4 years programme or Computer Science Conversion course 2 years Degree Programmes referred to as “MCS” or “M.Sc (CS)” with 60 % or more marks or minimum 2.5 / 4.00 CGPA under semester system, which ever is applicable.

 

  1. 16 years Science and Engineering graduates with 50 % or more Marks or minimum CGPA equivalent to 60% marks under semester system, which ever is applicable are eligible but they have to cover the deficiency courses as advised by the Admission Committee.

 

  • Having passed NTS Entry Test.

 

 

  1. e) MBA – 2 years Course (Morning Program)

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Having passed Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Commerce or Business with 45 % or more marks or minimum CGPA equivalent to 60% marks under semester system, whichever is applicable.

 

  1. ii) Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

  1. f) MBA – 2 years Course (Evening Program)

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Having passed Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Commerce or Business with 45 % or more marks or minimum CGPA equivalent to 60% marks under semester system, whichever is applicable.

 

  1. No experience requirement for Government / Semi Government employees.

 

  • Experience requirement for Private / Government Bank employees.

 

  1. At least one year experience after graduation for Private Sector employees of recognized and well established / registered institutions.

 

  1. No job experience required for Master degree holder.

 

  1. g) MBA – 3.5 years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Having passed Bachelors Degree or Equivalent (14 years education) with 45 % or more marks or minimum 2.5 / 4.00 CGPA under semester system, whichever is applicable.

 

  1. ii) Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

 

  1. h) MBA – 1.5 years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  • Having passed BBA (Hons) or MBA 2 Years course with minimum 2.5 / 4.00 CGPA under semester system, whichever is applicable.

 

  1. ii) Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

  1. j) Com – 2years Course.

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. Having passed Bachelors Degree in Commerce or Business with 45 % or more marks or minimum CGPA equivalent to 60% marks under semester system, whichever is applicable.

 

  1. ii) Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

  1. k) Sc. (Economics)

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. i) Having passed Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Commerce or Business with 45 % or more marks or minimum CGPA equivalent to 60% marks under semester system, which ever is applicable.

 

  1. ii) Having passed CECOS / NTS Entry Test.

 

  1. l) MS Management Science / MS Commerce -2 years Course

 

Pre-Requisite:

 

  1. i) BBA (4 years), B.Com Honors with deficiency courses, M.Com, MBA (2 year), MPA or equivalent with 60 % or more marks or minimum 2.5 / 4.00 CGPA under semester system, which ever is applicable.

 

  1. All those candidates who have completed 16 years of education are eligible for admission in MS Management Sciences programme subject to completion of deficient courses.

 

  • The number of deficiency courses will depend upon the field of specialization and completion of required credit hours for MS programme.

 

  1. For B.Com Honors 3 years programme students the deficiency courses shall be identified on case to case basis. The student has to take at least 12 credit hours to become eligible for the admission in MS Program.

 

  1. Applicants with a degree other than MBA/BBA may be required to take some additional courses to fulfill prerequisite deficiencies.

 

  1. Having passed NTS Entry Test.

 

4.3       In case of Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate examination passed in First division at the Advanced level in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, the grades obtained shall be equated as under for the purpose of determining merit:-

 

Grade A————- 85 %

Grade B————- 75 %

Grade C————- 65 %

Grade D————- 55 %

Grade E————- 45 %

 

The Candidate shall have to produce equivalence and Conversion of Marks Certificate from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Ministry of Education, Govt. of Pakistan, Islamabad.

 

4.4       A candidate convicted by a Court of Law on the grounds of moral turpitude or awarded Sentence in Jail, is ineligible for admission.

 

4.4.1    The University shall have the right to change any of the eligibility criteria or seek further requirements for granting admission in any discipline.

 

4.5       ENTRY TEST

 

All the eligible candidates applying for admission will have to qualify the Entry Test to be conducted by CECOS University / NTS, on the date and time to be notified by the University. The test will be conducted in the subjects of Mathematics, General Knowledge and English of Intermediate / Graduate level (or any other subject, the University deems appropriate).

 

For MS(CS),  MS(Mgt. Sc.) and MS Commerce the test will be GRE based test.

 

 

4.6       ADMISSION PROCEDURE

 

  1. The Institute can consider those Candidates for admission to any of the above Courses who have passed the CECOS Entry Test or the prescribed Entry Test conducted by any recognized Testing body of four provinces. However, the candidates will have to fulfill the eligibility requirement.

 

  1. Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission will not be eligible to appear in the Entry Test.

 

  1. Case of doubtful or undefined equivalence of any academic qualification, will be considered by the University Equivalence Committee. If deemed necessary, the Committee may also consult other organizations / authorities of Pakistan that deal with the subject and determine equivalence of Foreign Degree and Certificates.

 

  1. Candidates seeking admission in different disciplines of Computer/ Management Sciences shall submit separate applications for each discipline.

 

 

  1. Candidates selected for admission shall produce the following documents in original for verification at the time of interview / admission and shall also submit two sets of attested photocopies of these documents with the application form

 

 

  1. Detailed Marks Certificate of the examination on the basis of which admission is sought. In case the examination consists of Part- I and Part-II, Detailed Marks Certificate of each Part shall be submitted.

  1. University Authorities reserve the right to make amendments in Admission Regulations at any stage or to relax any requirement with approval of Vice Chancellor / President without making the same a precedent for future.

 

  1. University further reserves the right to cancel admission of any student at any stage without assigning any reason.

 

  1. Any false / fake document and / or change in criterion / eligibility ex-post factor may also entitle the University to cancel admission of a student at any stage irrespective of his time & efforts, so consumed before such cancellation.

 

PART-III

 

  1. ADMISSION IN MS ENGINEERING / ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT / ARCHITECTURE

 

5.1       The MS degree programme is open to candidates who have obtained a degree in their undergraduate programme and have the potential for success in advanced studies.

 

5.2       Candidates seeking admission to MS degree programme must have the bachelor’s degree(at least 16 years education) in relevant discipline / field.

 

5.3       Application on the prescribed form shall be submitted to the concerned Chairman / Director Postgraduate Studies on or before the last date advertised in the newspaper, after which no application shall be entertained.

 

5.4       Twenty seats are reserved in each specialization of the MS Programme

 

5.5       Applicants must score 50% minimum marks in GRE/GAT test, organized by National Testing Service (NTS). The candidates shall also have to appear in the departmental subject test (where applicable) which will be conducted by the Admission Committee in the respective departments on the date, time and venue notified for the purpose. Final merit list shall be made, based on the combined results of NTS marks and the departmental test (50% weight age for each). The departmental test for any Specialization will be checked by the Chairman of the Department/Director Postgraduate Studies in consultation with Dean of the Faculty.

 

5.6       On the recommendation of Admission Committee, the Vice Chancellor shall approve the names of the candidates selected for           admission.

5.7       The admission of candidates shall be confirmed after he / she has deposited the prescribed fees with the University within the period specified for this purpose.

 

5.8       No student will be admitted after two weeks of the start of the classes.

 

5.9       The Director, Post Graduate Studies shall forward to the Controller of Examination the particulars of each student admitted for the first time, within a period of 30 days of the completion of admission. The Controller of Examination shall assign registration number to each student, if not already registered.

 

5.10     Admission of any student is liable to be cancelled if his / her conduct at any stage is found unsatisfactory.

 

5.11     Students registered for MS Programme shall not be allowed to participate in any political or union activities.

 

5.12     The facility of hostel accommodation to MS students shall be provided subject to availability.

 

5.13     If any of the particulars given by the student in his / her application form are found incorrect or facts suppressed, his / her admission shall be refused. If any incorrect or false statement or suppression of fact is detected after a candidate has been granted admission, his / her admission shall be cancelled and he / she will be expelled from the University by the Vice Chancellor at any time during the course of his / her studies.

 

5.14     A candidate who is already a bonafide full time student in some other institution is ineligible to apply for admission in the University. If such case is detected his / her admission in the University shall be cancelled.

 

5.15     At the time of admission, selected students shall submit an undertaking to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the University. This shall be according to the prescribed proforma on a non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 30/- and duly attested by a gazetted officer/ Oath Commissioner. MS students shall also be bonafide students of the University and as such all rules and regulations regarding discipline and other provisions applicable to other students, shall be equally applicable to them.

 

PART-IV     REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL COURSES

 

 

  1. MIGRATION

 

6.1       Migration from other Universities / Institutions

 

  1. a) The President / Vice Chancellor may admit a student to the University by migration from other Universities or Institutions upon the recommendations of the University Migration Committee.

 

  1. b) Admission by migration may not be allowed ordinarily after expiry of one month from the commencement of the classes (semester).

 

  1. c) Admission by migration shall only be allowed provided the student seeking migration to CECOS University is still on the rolls of parent university / college / institute.

 

  1. d) No student shall be admitted by migration from a University or Institution in Pakistan unless he / she produces a certificate of good moral character and a certificate to the effect that the student has neither been debarred from taking University examination nor suspended, expelled or rusticated from the university/college/institution from which he / she intends to migrate and that no disciplinary action is pending against him / her.

 

  1. e) Students from an Engineering Institution having Pakistan Engineering Council’s accredited Engineering Programme(s) can only apply for migration to the concerned engineering program of CECOS University. Students from a Chartered University / Degree Awarding Institution, recognized by Higher Education Commission can only be considered for migration.

 

 

 

  1. f) An application for admission by migration shall be accompanied by Detailed Syllabi and Detailed Marks Certificate showing the examinations passed in the preceding semester and Intermediate/Graduation examination on the basis of which he / she secured original admission in the parent University or Degree Awarding Institute.

 

 

 

  1. g) If a student has passed 50% or more subjects / courses of a class / semester with minimum 2.00 CGPA, he / she will be exempted from that class / semester and given admission in the next higher class / semester, but the deficient subjects of that class / semester must be notified as his / her back log, which he / she must pass alongwith the later classes / semesters.  He / she will pay additional tuition fee for the deficient subjects / courses in which he  / she actually attends the classes.

 

 

 

  1. h) If a student is deficient by more than 50% subjects in a class / semester or less than 2.00 CGPA, he / she will be allowed admission in the same class / semester. However, he / she may be exempted from those subjects / courses, which he / she has passed and whose course contents are the same as those of CECOS University.  He  / She will pay tuition fee for the full semester.

 

  1. i) Promotion to every next semester will be subject to fulfillment of promotion condition of minimum required GPA / CGPA and total ‘F’ grades.

 

 

  1. j) Only those students who possess academic record comparable with admission requirements of this University shall be considered for admission by migration, subject to recommendations by the University Migration Committee.

 

 

  1. k) Migration application will only be entertained on the prescribed application form available at the Admission Office on payment. The admission will be allowed on the production of original Migration Certificate issued to him / her by the University / College / Institution.

 

 

  1. k) In case of migration to Engineering Programme, the candidate must have fulfilled the basic requirement for admission to first year / semester engineering of having secured 60% or more marks in F.Sc (Pre-Engineering) or DAE Examinations. However, the candidate will be exempted from the Entry Test.

 

  1. m) In case of migration to any other course, the candidate must have fulfilled the basic eligibility criteria for admission to first semester of the said course, as prescribed by the University.

 

 

  1. n) No migration shall be allowed in First Year / 1st & 2nd Sem and Final Year / 7th & 8th

 

  1. o) A student who has obtained Migration Certificate from CECOS University but has not secured admission in another University may be readmitted to CECOS University if allowed by the Vice Chancellor provided his / her absence does not exceed 15 days and he/she surrenders the Migration Certificate issued to him / her.

 

  1. p) The President shall have the powers to allow migration in special cases, provided the candidate is otherwise eligible for migration under the Regulations.

 

  1. q) Upon migration, the migrating student shall be bound by all the rules and regulations of the University and shall submit the undertaking(s) otherwise given by the ordinarily admitted students.

 

6.2       Migration to other Universities / Institutions

 

  1. a) A student desiring to leave CECOS University in order to join another University or Institution shall apply to the Head of the respective Department on the prescribed form and will deposit the prescribed fee.

 

  1. b) No NOC / Migration Certificate shall be issued unless the student has cleared all the University dues including full fee of the running semester.

 

  1. c) In case of a student who has been debarred from taking University Examination or has been expelled or rusticated, from the University, no Migration shall be allowed as long as the punishment is in force.

 

  1. RE-ADMISSION

 

7.1       Candidate who could not complete the required course of studies and attendance due to serious illness etc, may be re-admitted in the same class on the recommendations of Admission Committee, provided that the student had obtained Medical Leave from the Principal / Director / Chairman of the Department on the production of a Medical Certificate from a registered MBBS Doctor.

 

7.2       If a student on rolls of the Institute / College remains absent from classes in any subject continuously for a period of 30 days, his/her name shall be struck off the rolls of the Institution / College by the Director / Chairman, with prior approval of the Competent Authority. Such a dropped student may be re-admitted, if the authorities are satisfied that the absence was not willful and was due to circumstances beyond human control. Re-admission shall be allowed, provided that any application to this effect is submitted within 15 days of the order of removal of the student from rolls.

 

7.3       A student who has obtained Migration Certificate from CECOS University but has not secured admission in another University may be readmitted to CECOS University if allowed by the Vice Chancellor provided his / her absence does not exceed 15 days and he/she surrenders the Migration Certificate issued to him / her.

 

7.4       Re-admission shall not be allowed if the time gap between leaving and                     re-admission is more than two academic years.

 

7.5       Re-admission shall be allowed subject to payment of prescribed fee.

 

  1. REFUND POLICY

 

8.1       Admission Fee paid by the student at the time of admission will not be refundable.

 

 

 

8.2       The Tuition Fee refund policy of the University is as under:

8.3       The Examination fee paid by the student may be refunded if the Examination is not held.

 

  1. SPECIAL PROVISIONS

 

9.1       Interpretation of these Rules by the authorized officers of the University shall be final. In all cases where these regulations are silent, the decision of the President / Board of Governors of the University shall apply.

 

9.2       The University /Institution authorities reserve the right to make any change in the existing Statutes, Regulations, Rules and Courses of study that may be considered necessary at any time without prior notice.

 

9.3       If any of the particulars given by the candidate in his/her application for admission are found incorrect or facts suppressed, he/she shall be refused admission. If any incorrect or false statement or suppression of facts is detected after a candidate has been granted admission, the admission shall be cancelled and he/she shall be expelled from the Institution/College and shall be liable to any other disciplinary or legal action, the Management may deem fit. A student shall be expelled from the Institution/College, if during the course of his/her studies, it is found that he/she was not entitled to admission in the Institution/College. Further, the fees and other user charges deposited by him/her shall stand forfeited.

 

9.4       In case a student enrolled in the Institution/College is also found to be a student of some other Institution, his/her admission in this Institution/College shall be cancelled.

 

9.5       Those candidates, who are employed in some organizations, must produce a permission letter from the employer at the time of their admission, clearly affirming that they shall be on leave from duty, for the daily study hours                   (6 hrs/day, 6 days/week) during the full duration of the course.

 

9.6       The Rules and Regulations pertaining to admission, promotions, maintenance of discipline etc. contained in the University Prospectus shall apply to all the students admitted during the session. However, any change / alteration, if deemed necessary shall be made by the University authorities and will be applicable from the date the Management so desires.

9.7       A student will cease to be a regular student as soon as the final semester examination immediately following the academic session, in which he/she was a regular student, concludes. Such a student shall not be entitled to privileges permissible to regular students.

 

9.8       The students are required to know the rules and regulations mentioned in the University Prospectus and notified from time to time. Ignorance of the rules and regulations shall not be an excuse for claiming any relaxation in this regard.

 

9.9       In case of any litigation, the cost thereto shall always be borne by the student who shall make out the same as his dues towards University.

 

9.10     The University assumes no responsibility what so ever if any loss of life is occurred or the student(s) get(s) harmed or injured during the course of studies in the University premises, hostel(s), survey camp or on the study / excursion tours.

 

  1. Fee Concession Policy

 

10.1     60% concession in Tuition for faculty members who take admission in MS Engineering course at CECOS University subject to terms & conditions of Faculty Development Program.

 

10.2     40% concession in Tuition Fee to the employees of CECOS University and its Constituent Institutions / Colleges (minimum 3 years service with CECOS) in courses of studies offered under the evening programs (only one course).

 

10.3     40% concession in Tuition Fee to sons / daughters of the Full Time Regular (who has completed the probation period) employees of the University (only one at one time).

 

10.4     20% concession in Tuition Fee to real brothers / sisters of the Full Time Regular (who has completed the probation period) employees of the University (only one at one time), on case to case basis.

 

10.5     30% Tuition Fee concession to students securing 1st, 2nd & 3rd position in BISE / BTE / University examinations (on overall result basis).

 

10.6     20% Tuition Fee concession to all female students.

 

10.7     20% Tuition Fee concession to kinship (brother / sister concession).

 

10.8     15 % Tuition Fee concession to the Sons / Daughters of Armed Forces personnel (including retired personnel).

 

10.9     15% Fee concession in Tuition Fee with effect from 2nd semester and onwards for the Graduates of CECOS University, who will get admission in any of the MS Programs within 12 months of their graduation.
