On this day watson and crick published their famous paper about the structure of DNA which is still considered to be one of those papers that changed the world of bioscience completely.
So in order to honour this day, the decoders society set up a DNA extraction activity at CECOS University, Institute of Integrative Biosciences. The purpose of the event was to make people realise that science isn’t something restricted to labs only as the extraction was done using simple kitchen reagents and equipments. What could be a better way to celebrate DNA day other than fascinating people with the extraction of DNA from fruits?
