Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Irfan Ullah as the new Dean, Faculty of Engineering.
Prof. Irfan received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, which is amongst the top ten Mechanical Engineering programs in the US.
The focus of his research relates to Optimal Design of Machinery. His postdoctoral research, at University of Southampton, UK is in the area of modeling and optimal design of renewable energy systems. His list of publications and presentations on those subjects and others is extensive. Keenly aware of the power of engineers to transform a society, Dr. Sb. has a history of putting his talents to work in service to others as an academician.
Prof. Dr. Irfan Ullah brings to CECOS University an impressive history of leadership, research, management and more than 3 decades of service to academia; teaching at UET, Peshawar, NUST, GIKI as well as internationally at Qassim University (an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program), Saudi Arabia and Taibah University, Saudi Arabia.
Prof. Irfan has worked as Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering Department and Secretary Board of Advanced Studies and Research at UET Peshawar. He was a Project Director for “Establishment of Institute of Mechatronics Engineering”.
Moreover, he has extensive experience in curriculum development, accreditation of programs, quality improvement, admissions, rules and regulations, and finance & planning. He has remained Secretary of National Curriculum Development Committee of HEC.
